- I'm addicted to craft! I have been since childhood, since the first time I smooshed my baby food across the tray of my highchair to make a wonderful artwork (that my mother did not quite appreciate). My father was a photographer who painted with oils and watercolours, and sketched with charcoals, my aunt made beautiful dresses and window dressings that looked as though they had been taken directly from Home Beautiful magazine. My great great aunt made tiny bark brooches and a second cousin did breathtaking pastel landscapes....so I come from a long line of creative influences. As soon as I could hold a pencil I was drawing, and before long I was cutting and gluing and collaging with photos (now it's trendy and they call it "scrapbooking"). I knitted and crocheted and paper crafted and silk pained and polymer clayed my way through life. I eat, sleep and ever dream craft, I can't help it. I notice colours and textures and fabrics and all manner of things around me and am always incorporating them into my craftwork...and I hope that this blog will inspire you to become a craft addict too!
